UP is the Deadliest State for on road incidents

While the 2014 data for the road accidents, injuries, fatal etc. were reviewed, UPs name topped n the list. National Crime Records Bureau lately reported that more than 16 lives were gone each hour on the Indian roads, as recorded the data for 2014.The report further added that around 4.5 lakh crashed that wounded nearly 4.8 lakh people, while recording 1.41 lakh dead, as an outcome of specific crashes.

This number has been an increase by 3 percent when compared to the year 2013.While the accidents from two wheelers that led to a death of 13,787 drivers, whereas the rest of the 23,529 people were found dead in similar accidents. When the data and the figures were reviewed, it came in to light that more than 50 percent of the deaths were due to two wheelers and trucks that went crashing on the streets on our country.As per these figures, Uttar Pradesh was on the top bracket in the names of states, carrying a record of 16,284 fatalities, chased by Tamil Nadu recording 15,000 deaths.
 
There is a list of the top 5 states mentioned in the report, namely:
 
Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rajasthan.These states carry with themselves, a record of 40 percent of the total causalities.While talking about cities, Delhi was the winner here as well, reporting 2,199 deaths, while Chennai being on the second position, with a record of 1,046 deaths. It has also been established in the report that out of each 6 accidents; at least 1 of them happed nearby a residential area, and near 5.3 percent happened nearby an educational institute.
