Report - The Govt. make vehicle recalling mandatory

Once on being asked, if the govt. has any plan or a proposal in such a scenario when the manufacturer would have to face off with mandatory instructions in recalling the vehicle back, other than fixing and concealing the fault or defect, Sh. The interesting part is, the Road transport and Safety Bill 2015, ha guidelines advising a mandatory recall policy for its vehicles. To add on, it even recommended, that the makers should be made answerable and would ask to reimburse for the damage caused due to the defect. Also it stated penalties on the maker for not informing the buyer about the fault before the sales. Under the voluntary recall policy revealed in July, 2012 by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), around 7 lakh vehicles have been recalled till date.
