Tata Xenon Pickup enters into Australia

Tata Motors is planning to launch its entry level pickup, Xenon in Australian market which will be offered in three variants at 35,000 Australian dollars. In the series off expanding empire globally, Indian automobile giant, Tata Motors is eyeing to entry into Australian Market.

In the series off expanding empire globally, Indian automobile giant, Tata Motors is eyeing to entry into Australian Market. M/s Fusion Automotive will be the independent distributor of Tata Motors in Australia through Fusion Automotive Private Ltd.  Tata motors will introduce a wide range of its commercial vehicles in 4X4 and 4X2 variants. Single and Crew-cabs will be offered with Euro V turbo diesel engines. But for now the company will be introducing its entry level pickup, Xenon by October in Australian Market.

Tata Xenon pickup will be available with diesel powered 2.2 litre DICOR engine and was tuned for higher power output. Engine has the capacity to churn out 151PS of power along with 320Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission that powers all the four wheels.

Xenon is available with three variants and two driver versions are offered to each variant in Australian market. Different styles to be offered in Australian markets are

  1. Cab Chassis
  2. Single Can
  3. Double Can body

Tata Xenon will be imparted with many features like electric windows, audio system with USB and AUX connectivity, power steering, air conditioning, Bluetooth etc. optional features can also be availed from the company like rear parking camera, touch screen with navigation.

Two front airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist, traction control, ABS (anti-lock braking system) comes standard to the vehicle.

Xenon pickup will come with a price tag that stands at 20.36 lakh INR (35,000 Australian Dollars). By the end of this year Fusion automotive plans to inaugurate 13 new dealerships across the country which will be further increased to 25 by end off 2014.
