ABS specifically allows the captain to absorb control over the vehicle in case of crunch braking. The system prohibits the wheels from locking when brakes are applied at high-speeds during accidental situations. According to 2012 reports, trucks, buses and tractor-trailers were reasons in over 30 per cent of the accidents reported in the country; loss of control over the vehicle was reported to be a major factor for these accidents.
