The South Korean automaker giant, Kia Motors seems eager to commence its Indian market soon. According to Kia Motors, we are saying this is because of the fact that the carmaker has begun testing its vehicles in the Indian market. This models that have been snapped for the first time are the Kia Sportage SUV and the Kia Soul crossover both.

The spied prototype of the SUV was carrying in West Bengal (WB) temporary registration plate. However, there is no further development about these vehicles. As you know, the Kia Sportage SUV is one of the oldest and most popular global variants from the South Korean carmaker. The new SUV is, currently, in its fourth generation. It has compared to its cousin sibling Hyundai Tucson, the Kia Sportage has a more feature-rich interior and sportier styling.

Kia Soul Crossover

In Indian market, the Kia Sportage SUV might share its engine lineup with the Tucson 2.0 litre CRDi diesel and 2.0-litre Dual VTVT petrol. The new one is good for 185bhp and 400Nm of torque, and the latter one is 155bhp with 192Nm.

Kia Sportage spy picture also reveals a camouflaged Soul crossover test mule. The New 2017 Kia Soul crossover will come with major cosmetic upgrades and various new comfort and safety features. In this global market, this crossover comes in three trim levels are Base Soul, Soul Plus and Soul Exclaim. As now, the automaker company hasn’t revealed details of its Indian project. However, in November 2016, a company spokesperson announced that “We at Kia Motors are continually evaluating potential locations for overseas manufacturing facilities, including India, to secure additional engines for future growth. However, as of now, no concrete plans have been finalised.”
