India is getting strict on laws

160 petrol and diesel stations have been issued notice to shut down as they were found mis-conducting in the country. Each year there are numerous vehicles that get jammed and the engine gets spoiled, no matter what all enhanced technologies have been used. The adulteration found in numerous petrol and diesel samples, wears the engine and disturbs its life cycle, making the car age before its time.

India is getting strict on laws

Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Petroleum minister said in the Lok Sabha by providing a written answer that oil marketing brands have ended 160 retail pumps for such misdeed occurring in the previous three years including the last quarter from the month of April-June. The minister mentioned that during the last three years n a row, oil marketers governed by the state namely the Indian Oil Corp, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum - have discovered around 3,516 retail outlets providing lesser than the required amount to its customers and on the other hand 195 units have been selling across adulterated fuel.

Mr. Pradhan added that due to the proven under-measurement and adulteration, there is a condition to call off the license of the retail outlets under Marketing Discipline Guidelines (MDG)/Dealership Agreement. The minister further said that other projects in order to avoid such misdeed comprise things like automation, third-party certification as well as keeping a check on the move of tank trucks via GPS. Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab and Maharashtra were amongst the top names in the list of mal-practiced fuel outlets in our country.
