In order to set up a better strategy to implement, the Delhi Government has taken steps, in order to make the laws regarding the pollution check a little more crisper and stringent in nature. Delhi Govt. has directed all the motor vehicles, like cars and bike, to set aside a pollution checking centers in the capital city, to create a pollution check- up units at their centers all over. Other than the ones selling battery operated e-rickshaws, have been instructed to incorporate pollution checking centers at their workshops in order to issue Pollution under Control (PUC) certificates to the motor owners.

Seeking the need of the hour, recently the national Green Tribunal (NGT) has issued a ban on the petrol vehicles over 15 years old and diesel vehicles, over 10 years old. As reportedly by a Govt. Official, Delhi is not currently equipped with a lot of Pollution check units, so in order to create abundance, so as the owners have an edge, for getting the levels under check and control easily, the Govt. has issued such an order.

Like the owner would take its vehicle for an auto-check up, he can also get the pollution level checked over there. Dealers into taking care of e-rickshaws are an exception, as these vehicles create almost no pollution at all. The NGT on May 1 had given an extension till May 18 like a stay on its order draft in order to ban the running of diesel vehicles over 10 years old in Delhi-NCR, granting a little breather to public utility services even as it suggested the authorities for not coming out with options in reduction of air pollution.
