One of the three pre-production patterns of the SUV have been shipped from Thailand, was found testing on the Mumbai roads. It wears a thick body, covering and masking the final design that has already been showcased at the Auto Expo last year in 2014. The SUV runs on a body over frame concept, manufactured in Thailand. Similar to most of the SUV prototypes, the lounge area is quite comfortable, would come out with upscale and quality materials and upholstery. In the control panel would be imbibed with a My Link infotainment.

Referring to the import document, the forerunner gets its power from a pack a 2.8L diesel engine pulling out 200 hp at 3,600 rpm and 500 Nm of force at 2,000 rpm. Especially for the Thai market, along with the 2.8-liter unit, a smaller 163 hp 2.5-L diesel is also offered, although some suggest that this motor might not make it into Indian-spec Trailblazers. The engine comes teamed up with a 6-speed automatic transmission and is offered in both 2WD and 4WDversions for the Thai market. We also expect the version for India with the same configurations too. It has been confirmed by the GM India, the Trailblazer would be introduced in India in 2015, and the CKD concept should be followed. Once on the roads, the Trailblazers would be fighting with the currently running SUV, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
