Australian Auto Industry in Search for Women

Australia auto industry recurring female employee for different role like, 4000 body repairs, 34000 positions required to be filled as 19,000 at dealership mechanics, 850 automotive electricians and 2,600 spray painters.

The Australian automotive industry has planned to recruit women and girls.  Auto Skills Australia says this time industry is nationally facing the critical trade skill shortage. Geoff Gwilym, ASA CEO said on critical skill shortage, it is very important to attract more and more women towards automotive industry, who currently make up only about 4%-5% of trade apprenticeships in the major areas covered by the 34,000 open spots.
Gwilym said, “We will start recruiting women and girls in the auto industry in March. At time equal position of male and female, but till time in auto industry have not option to recruit female. We encourage to female in Australia auto industry and open new vacancies of female.”
“This initiative will ask those women already involved in the industry to take stand proudly in a social media campaing, with the International Women’s Day and ask women to show their interest in industry and get employed over there as tradeswomen”.
