2020 Volvo XC90 Armoured Revealed

Volvo has built its reputation on safety. It has unveiled perhaps its most expensive car to date which is an armour-plated XC90 SUV revealed.

The armoured car is built on the Inscription version of the Volvo XC90 T6 AWD, which is manufactured at the Torslanda plant in Sweden. The well-designed interior and exterior with a high level of protection make it appealing. The company has big experience of building police cars, fire engines and huge vehicles with high requirements in terms of the function, driveability and safety aspects.

The car has 360-degree ballistic resistance as well as explosive resistance and it has a certified VPAM CR8. The enduring size and nature of the model make it a perfect model among Volvo cars. In the case of an emergency, the occupants of the rear seat can escape through the boot. It has been integrated with a thick 10 millimeters high-strength steel Armour.



The thickness of the glass is up to 50 millimetres in the Volvo XC90. The total weight of the car is 4,490kg. It is available for the ordering now and it is approximated that the delivery will start nearly from the end of 2019 only. The Volvo XC90 Armoured vehicle is based on the Inscription variant.
