These prices dip is an outcome of the severe drop in the prices for oil, worldwide.This assessment in the fuel costs would not be impactful in Delhi as the petrol and diesel prices were hiked earlier as well.The government reported in a statement that the VAT rate on petrol has been amplified from 20 per cent to 25 per cent and on diesel from 12.5 per cent to 16.6 per cent, thus causing an upsurge in the value of petrol by INR 2.78 per L approximately and talking about diesel by Rs. 1.83/L.
The estimate in petrol and diesel are revised by oil firms each 15 days that reaches to a following review in fuel values.The previous time fuel charges were altered on 30th June. When the petrol prices were reduced by 31 paise a liter and diesel rates were dipped by 71 paise per litre. All these are done in an order to carry in consistency and are related to the fall in universal oil rates.
