New Bajaj Dominar engine and gearbox review
 
The New Bajaj Dominar 400 uses a derivative of the KTM 390’s engine. The Dominar comes with a 373cc, single-cylinder unit with a six-speed gearboxes and a slipper-clutch. There are Featuring fuel-injection, liquid-cooling, Bajaj’s patented triple-spark plug technology, and a finger-follower-camshaft four-valve-per-cylinder setup, the new motor produces 35hp of power at 8,000rpm, and 35Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Its outputs are slightly lower than the KTMs, but Bajaj has retuned the engine to better suit the Dominar’s touring requirements. The New Bajaj Dominar has a split instrument cluster, with one on the fuel tank and the other on the handlebars. Its digital instruments include a tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, an odometer and trip meters. Its intimidating-looking mosaic headlamp is a full LED unit with Auto Headlamp On function (AHO).
 
The New Dominar 400 comes with a beam-type perimeter frame, with 43mm telescopic forks at the front are and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Its stopping power comes from a 320mm single disc brake in the front and a 230mm one at the rear, with the fully-loaded variant getting dual-channel ABS. The New Bajaj Dominar bike rides on 110/70 R17 and 150/60 R17 front and rear wheels shod with MRF Revz C1 rubber.
