Hyundai to launch i10 based compact car in India

Hyundai will launch a new compact car to compete with Maruti Swift, Chevrolet Sail and VW Polo.

Hyundai Motors India will launch a new i10 based small car in both diesel and petrol engine options. Company is expecting huge acclamation for this vehicle like Hyundai Santro and i10 models.
Automotive giant is looking for a fresh approach in Indian auto sector with the launch of this car. Diesel variant will be the highlight of this vehicle as Korean car manufacturer does not offer a diesel car in this segment.

For some years, Indians prefer diesel car to petrol powered cars as running cost of diesel car is much lesser. According to TOI, new i10 based concept car of Hyundai will help them strengthen their positions as the second largest car manufacturer in India.

In 2012, sales graph of i10 fell 29 percent with sales of just 98,702 units against sales of 1,38,466 units in 2011. Hyndai i10 was the country’s third largest selling passenger vehicle during heydays that is now dropped to 6th position in 2012. Hyundai i10 price in Delhi is low so you can buy without any problem.
