HMSI Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) Y S Guleria said "It is an important decision taken by the company. In order to fulfill the demand for the CB Shine, we are coming up with changes in our Bangalore facility. CB Shine will be the fourth model to roll out from the Bangalore facility,"

The Karnataka plant has a production capacity of 12 lakh units a year, currently manufacturing the Dream Series motorcycles and Activa scooters segment. Due to changes made at plant there might be some production loss at Karnataka plant, Guleria said.

“Company set the  target  to sell 39.3 lakh units in FY13-14 It would be little hard to achieve the target due to changes in plant  it is expected that  this is going to be very, very close," Guleria said.

HMSI is looking forward to expand its network with entry into Tier-III cities, currently company has 2500 outlets in India. 27.55 lakh units were sold in FY 12-13. Until December, HMSI's production capacity reported at 40 lakh units across its three plants in the country.

HMSI President & CEO Keita Muramatsu  said "HMSI has further built its commitment towards road safety by associating with Pogo and popular character Chhota Bheem. Honda, together in association with chota bheem, shall spread the message on importance of road safety across the country,"
