Exterior:
Slimmer headlamps and larger air intakes will sit either side of a much sharper, 6-side grille. It is a toned-down variant of 3D front end seen on Crosslane Coupe Concept at 2012 Paris Motor Show. Elsewhere, there are sharp creases, distinctive LED light clusters and similar proportions to current car. Key to new A4’s improved fuel efficiency and more nimble handling will be a weight saving of around 100kg. All this is possible because new Audi A4 2014 will be based on Volkswagen Group’s advanced MLB platform (bigger brother of MQB set-up used by new A3 and VW Golf), which will underpin everything from A4 to new VW Touareg in 2016.
