Two-wheelers become a vital purchase in India

As far as cars were talked about, more than 70 percent of all probable car buyers would opt for new-launch models and 50 percent of these would buy petrol-powered models. 40 percent of these potential buyers also allocated a minimum of Rs. 7 lakh for their car budget.

6.5 out of 10 people would prefer a two wheeler over to public transport.

Two-wheelers have become an integral purchase, rather than an unrestricted one, courtesy the jam packed public transport system and increasing high end desires amongst Indian public, reported by a survey conducted by the Religare Group.

Almost 65 percent of the survey’s 1,500 participants choose to use two-wheelers over public transport; courtesy to a monthly saving of Rs 400, the survey also reports that 62 percent of the women questioned agreed that a two-wheeler would be their prime choice of transport. 65 percent of them chose their preference for scooters.

Talking about the minimum purchase price of Rs 55,000 that potential buyers of new-two-wheelers thought, high thinking can be seen for both cars and two-wheelers states the survey.

70 percent of the participants also feel that the current boom in the state of the economy is more supporting than it was prior to the elections.

The survey held across ages and gender in both tier-I and tier-II cities with close to 1,500 respondents.
