Hero MotoCorp unveils the global plan and future strategy to sustain on the top the position globally.

After three years of divorce between Hero and Honda, Hero MotoCorp India unveils its global production plans for the coming years. The company will not be handling over its number one position in any case. Company has plans to be present in more than fifty countries across the globe by 2020. They have targets to increase their annual turnover of 24,000 crore INR in March 2013 to 60,000 crore INR by 2020.

In the series to getting on the top, second top two wheeler manufacturing company from India, Honda have plan to sell one million two wheelers per year by 2020 in India. In the series of being on number one, Hero MotoCorp will be boosting lots of two-wheelers during the festival season in India (largest two wheeler market in terms of volume). But this market will be facing launch of dozens of new motorcycles in the season.

Hero MotoCorp bikes already have it presence in African market and will build its assembly line at Mexico in the coming years. This plant will provide 10% of total volume sold in the global market by 2017. In order to double the turnover as mentioned above, the company has plans of selling five crore two wheelers by the year 2020 to reach 10 crore mark. Recently, Hero MotoCorp’s total manufacture reaches to 5 crore two-wheeler.

Company will be aiming to produce twelve million units per year through its twenty assembly lines in India and outside the country. Pawan Munjal, Director and CEO of Hero MotoCorp, mention that the company will be launching motorcycles in ten new international markets in the coming years.
