Mr. Anurag Mehrotra, the executive Director for the Sales & Service at Ford India said that this car introduced the concept of a compact SUV in India

It has been reported to sell out nearly 2 lakh of the made in India EcoSport being sold in the last two years. Definitely this is, indeed quite a milestone achieved by the company making such a mark in merely two year of existence in the car market.

The much loved car of the country, being the first of its kind, Ford EcoSport has managed to sell across 200,000 units, after calculating the domestic as well as the exports in total. The car was first seen at the Delhi Auto Show back in 2012 as a concept and then finally made its way to the roads as well as the heart of the consumers in the year 2013. So it would not be incorrect to say that the Ford EcoSport has knocked this position in just two years time.

At present the Made in India Ford EcoSport is being exported to other countries such as South Africa, Taiwan, Australia and several other European countries.

But, it is time that the company initiates the revamp model in India as we've already seen it being launched in the market of Europe.
