In the league of new models being introduced at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, a new Toyota Hybrid car was added today. The five door hatchback Yaris and its saloon iteration called Vios are the two production versions of the innovative concept cars that were showcased during the 2012 Beijing motor show.
Yaris name may have been common but both the cars are completely new for the Chinese market. Both will together enter production phase by end of this year. The versions that have been localized for other surfacing markets can also be produced.

The six passenger concept named FT-HT Yuejia has been equipped with a hybrid power backup along with a decent cabin, pillarless scissor doors that adorn pretty simple designs and three rows of seats with each bearing two individual seats. It is a concept car till date, but the Japanese car maker gives a cue that it has been manufactured especially for the Chinese market and is a retail model.

Other Toyota concepts that are ready to be revealed are Yungdong Shauagqing II, it is a new model whose hybrid power train is still in development stage, and an EV concept, and lastly a squat compact crossover that has an all-electric drivetrain.

Also, among the models that have been completed is an electric saloon called Danz that has been inspired from Corolla. Toyota has produced this model in JV with FAW.
