The new gift from Ford

The Ford released Everest 2015, In India it would be called the Ford Endeavour & Thailand at the 36th Bangkok Motor Show. The new SUV is expected to launch in India by the yearend. As per the layout the design throw a very masculine look on to the model and it comes with a great potential. The craftsmen for its design have given out a thick body almost in the entire machine. The headlamps get projector units, move guards, the lower step, the large wheel bends. There is large chrome on the rear plating too.

 

This is quite a master piece as worked by the Blue Oval; the machine has got an inch of everything, style quotient, the comfort and the engineering. The machine measures 4,893 lengths wise, 1,862 wide, and stands tall at 1,837.This new creation is a little less tall than the current one, however this one is wider. The base of the wheel has a decrease in height too, 2,850mm. The brand has taken the ground clearance up to 225mm.

 

The machine showcased at the show was the top end variant powered by a 3.2-liter five-cylinder diesel variant, with a 4WD system and teamed up with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This variant marks its potential felt on the front bumpers of the SUV, which gets a chrome air-vent with the beading. Inshore the machine steals the show indeed; the two tones interior gives out a light and refreshed look that is quite appealing accompanied by the upscale features of the SUV. The cost is estimated at INR 20lakhs, ex showroom.

 

The interior, quality, comfort and the look gives a luxury model experience, although the power window stiches are just ok. The top end variant is plugged in with powered front lounge, a sunroof, climate controller, Terrain Manager, an 8inch touch system along with 9 speakers and a sub-woofer. Because of the large control panel, the dashboard gets a wider look. The rest of the dials are also very neatly and practically laid out, so would take long to apprehend the functions.

We don’t have the real measure but the seating space at the back has also increased. There is more leg space in the car now, the chairs are very comfortable, well- shaped, supporting the body on it just perfectly. We assume the sitting pattern of three persons at the rear, would be more comfortable now.

 

On the whole, Ford has manufactured a complete package. For the Indian market, the CKD kit for the car would be made at the Thai plant of the brand.
