Suzuki and Proton to make a new Small car

The car manufacturer from Malaysia Proton would create a car utilizing CKD units delivered by Suzuki. Suzuki Motor Corporation has contracted an arrangement to work together with Malaysian car manufacturer Proton Holdings Berhad (Proton). According to the deal, Suzuki would source CKD modules for a compact passenger machine to be produced out by the following year.

 

To start with, Suzuki would source the parts; Proton would do the fabrication of the car at its Tanjung Malim plant starting from the month of August 2016 and would trade this variant, under the Proton brand, in Malaysia. Suzuki reports further additional variants would be reciprocally considered with Proton. Also, in the prospect, source of engines and transmissions by Suzuki to Proton and fixing of the same by Proton for its personal models would be discovered.
