Skoda is thinking to invade the pre-owned Car business

As said by, Ashutosh Dixit, Director, Sales and Marketing, Skoda Auto India that the company is looking to step into the pre-owned car business, this year, and they have a few projects up in their sleeves.

According to reports, Skoda India is all geared up to land in the classified pre-owned car business and has plans to roll out a few of its pilot projects in India this year.

As said by, Ashutosh Dixit, Director, Sales and Marketing, Skoda Auto India that the company is looking to step into the pre-owned car business, this year, and they have a few projects up in their sleeves.

Over the brand used for the pre-owned car business, he quoted, internationally Das Welt Auto is used by its parent Volkswagen, but it is yet to take a decision on the final brand strategy for India for used cars business.
Indulging into pre-owned car segment is counted to boost its own cars sales through exchange programs. He also gave a clue that Skoda has no plans either to rehab its product display or to offer discounts to increase the volume as it wants to be established as value-premium Car Company.

The brand has three sedans and one SUV in its product kitty with entry estimated at around Rs 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and prices exceeding up to Rs 22-23 lakh. Rapid is the highest selling variant with 60-70 per cent of its total units selling across India.
