Most of the Maruti cars would now get their power from the 1.0 and 1.4 booster jet turbo petrol dynamos. Well, the turbo jet engines have started to gain popularity recently these days, in the market, however, they were not really in demand a few years back. They stepped in to the Indian market, housed in luxury and premiums cars only, but ever since then, various car makers like Ford, Fiat and Volkswagen, connected this hi-end technology to the Indian buyers quite closely, by giving home to these technically sound engines, in to their affordable cars.

 Now it has been taking the lead in the market since then. Following the leagues, Maruti Suzuki is also participating by revealing a new set of turbocharged engines called the Booster jet engines. Suzuki revealed the latest and powerful 1.4L direct turbo petrol dynamo at Auto Exhibition in Shanghai. This would be Suzuki’s second turbojet engine post their 1.0L dynamo which would launch inside the global premium hatchback, IK2 (YRA) on the Indian roads. Once out, the YRA homed with a Booster Jet engine would become a competitor of Elite i20, upcoming Jazz and Polo as the brand is planning to place this model above of Swift marking it as their most premium hatchback in India.

To start with, the 1.4L BoosterJet dynamo would be debuted in China only in 2016 and then it would be out in the rest of the global markets including India. In India, we can assume that this engine to mark its presence in various Maruti cars including the new compact SUV marked for our market and the new gen Grand Vitara. This turbocharged dynamo can also be housed to the petrol units of other Maruti cars such as Ciaz if it settles in India. The requirement for performance without settling on fuel economy is best met by these turbocharged dynamos as they utilize turbochargers for enhancing power and torque being bringing fuel efficiency.
 
 
The Eco sport, Polo TSI and upcoming T-Jet version of Punto Evo  are a few of the examples about how makers have already joined hands in yielding profit through such products in the domestic market. So, for sure, it would be a large step by Maruti as it would be highlighting it in India and it is expected that company may utilize the technology to enhance a major share of their cars to the turbocharged products at an affordable price. We expect Maruti to launch YRA at the much awaited Auto Expo 2016 with its 1.0L Booster Jet dynamo and if it happens then get set to witness the most cost effective turbocharged petrol dynamo car from the largest car-manufacturer in India.
