The awaited and upcoming product has been spied with its pictures online, highlighted by the 1.6 L Fiat sourced engine. This engine is also giving its power to the SX4, in the international market, since the last few years, but the news became, when S-cross would be the only product carrying this particular engine in India. 
 
Now, let’s get to the engine, its being a part of the Multijet diesel Dynamo from the Fiat cluster. Thanks to its large capacity of 1598cc capacity which is a highlight of selected cars in Europe. It produces a 120 PS of maximum power, sitting at 3750 rpm and 320Nm of Force from the 1750rpm.  The 1.6L car comes paired to a 6-speed manual gear system.

There have been numerous reports being speculated about the test being conducting in India, for a while now. It is to be quoted by experts that if this line up of engine, goes fine, Maruti might employ it in several other products as well, like the Ciaz, and Fiat would be taking it further in Linea too. Maruti would also arm the S-Cross with the 1.4L 93PS petrol unit and the 1.3L 90PS diesel motor.
