Although Honda Cars India did not statement on the amount of bookings it had acknowledged, a recent report positions that the Honda Jazz CVT version has been accumulating the majority of the volume.

More than 40 percent of Honda Jazz customers have demanded the CVT automatic version that is out in two variants of the Jazz petrol. The petrol unit books for 25 percent of bookings whereas the diesel motor that is traded only through a 6-speed manual gearing, has established 35 percent of bookings.On the total, the petrol-diesel fragments is at 65 percent preferring the petrol model.Also in the case of the Elite i20 that just touched the 1 lakh sales benchmark, the petrol model overtook the diesel units by a minor verge (51,326 units of petrol and 49,180 units of diesel), representing that petrol cars are making a trend yet again in the native market of India.
 
The Honda Jazz CVT gets power through the 1.2-L i-VTEC engine having a capacity of 90 PS and 110 Nm of force. The CVT model acquires paddle shifters and 7-stepped ratios on the top-end model. The CVT versions of the Jazz are estimated at INR 6.99 lakhs for the ‘S’ and INR 7.85 lakhs for the ‘V’ versions, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. Indeed, looking at the traumatic traffic conditions on the road, being an everyday affair, people are opting for automatic cars, to provide them the much needed little respite sailing through these road condition each day in and out.And also, post to the FAME initiative by the govt. the diesel models are losing its grip from the market in India, considering the meek resale options, making it a future loss threat for its buyers.
