Maruti Suzuki Sales in January 2014

Company domestic sales declined by 6.3 % during this month to 96,569 units whereas in January 2013 it is reported at 1, 03,026 units.

MSI said, Mini car segment sales including M800, Alto, A-Star and WagonR, declined by 17 per cent to 38,565 units as compared to 46,479 units in the last year January 2013.

Sales of the compact segment comprising Swift, Estilo, Ritz increased by 1.9 per cent it stoods at 24,473 units in January this year as compared to 24,006 units last year.

Marutis most popular compact sedand Dezire sales increased by 12.7 percent,it is reported at 19,232 units whereas in January 2013 it stood at 17,060 units.

SX4 the company’s mid-sized sedan reported a decline og 81.1 per cent at 191 units as compare to 1,012 units  years ago in the same month.Maruti has not sold any unit of it premium sedan Kizashi this month.

Sales of utility vehicles, including Gypsy, Grand Vitara and Ertiga has seen the downfall of 21.9 per cent at 4,763 units in January 2014 as against 6,095 units reported last year this month.

Sales of vans-Omni and Eeco down by 11.6 per cent to 9,345 units in January this year whereas in the same period of previous year it stood at 8,374 units. Exports during the month declined by 47.7 per cent to 5,847 units as against 11,179 units same month year ago, Maruti Suzuki India reported.
