Mahindra today rolled out the Thar 2015, a revamped version of the existing aging model, carrying a price tag of INR 8.03 lakh, being the ex-showroom price in Nasik, for their CRDe model.The revamped Mahindra Thar 2015 acquires an external as well as an inshore modification, would be out in selected markets almost immediately, post its official launch today itself, as reported by the company.

Talking of the external elements of the Mahindra Thar 2015, this new version gets a transformed fore and back fenders, an all new wheel arch, fresh steps at the sides along with a fresh covering and head lamps equipped with a crystal clear lens. Mechanically, the Mahindra Thar 2015 acquires an auto engaging distinct lock for the axle at the back, while it arms on with the 2.5L diesel motor. However, there are no such alterations been done on the engine of the vehicle, while it endures to develop 105 bhp @ 3,800rpm along with 247Nm of force amidst 1800-2000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearing system along with high as well as low range ratios.
 
While it has been seen that there has been a popular choice wherein used as a commercial and tuff vehicles, catering to travel around in hilly areas, forests, national parks, wherein it carries the ability to accommodate several people and drive through tuff conditions, but making its presence on the city roads have been  a little out of the picture thought, but with these certain updates, this vehicle might makes its way to the city roads as well, what do you think?
