The brand aims at making a major turn-around in the market after the launch new updated Mahindra Bolero 2015, while equipping a lot of extra to the new car.The most interesting part is that the giant SUV would be now smaller in size; of course it is a move from the brand, as per the demand in the market. Mahindra U301 would carry the Quanto’s 1.5l three cylinder motor that would be paired to a 5-speed manual and AMT transmission. The ladder on frame vehicle would be grounded on the new Magna platform that the Scorpio stands on.
The motor is being extremely tuned to carry even more mileage, lesser power and an added torque that has been witnessed with vehicles formed for rural and commercial focused market. The average is all set to be nearly 17-19 km/l mark. The inside of the car would bear a jump in quality and detailing like the faux wood and aluminum with a screen would be hurled as a feature and a touchscreen can also be expected.The expected price of the basic version could be around INR 6.5 lakh. The all new Mahindra U301 would have a 7 seating capacity, an AWD option could be on offer too.
