The gear knob seems to be new, the shift pattern of the gear looks different, like R-1-2-3-4-5 sequence. In technical jargons, it is known as the DOG-LEG gear box layout. Such a gear box designed was last mounted in Tata Sierra. It is still not confirmed if the gear box spotted is a 5-speed or a 6-speed transmission.
Other components that add to the makeover, are likely the steering wheel, gifted with a new stitch, there is no storage space visible above the AC vents. We also could not observe the silver pattern as well in the interior. As was reported earlier as well, the top end Storme, might get equipped by a Harman Kardon music system with a new layout of the 3-spoke steering wheel with controls embedded on the wheel.
The model would offer captain seats on the second row and a forward facing bench in the third row of the car. Mechanically the new Safari Storme is powered by a 2.2L 4-cylinder diesel engine, producing a better 20PS and 80NM of force. Likely to the current options, the SUV would be plattered with two variants, 2WD and 4WD.
