Hyundai Grand i10 gets patented to launch imminent

Hyundai will bring only the petrol version in chinese market which will be powered by the 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol churns out the power of 83 PS and 11.6 kgm of torque. This engine will mate with 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

Hyundai largest passenger car exporter has applied for patenting the Grand i10 in China, notifying that there are plans to launch the hatchback in the world’s fastest growing car market.

For China market, Hyundai is most likely to introduce the grand i10 with Indian specification which gets an extended wheelbase and rear legroom as a result. The European model which would be simply known as 2014 i10 gets a shorter wheelbase and can be easily identified at the front, also enabled with the LED daytime running lights.

The Chinese model seems identical like the Indian grand i10 except the roof rails at the exteriors and the steering wheel location at the interior. It will compete with its rival like Suzuki swift.
