Bentley plans to launch an entry level sedan and a RR Phantom rival

Bentley the British luxury car maker is considering two new cars, one is the entry level Bentley and the another will be the most expensive car in its lineup. Focusing more on the smaller sedan which will hit the markets by 2019.

Bentley has set the price range for their cheaper entry level which would not go less than 1,00, 000 pounds (INR 1.01 crore) mark. The car will be placed under the Continental GT, the another one will be positioned above the Mulsanne and may cost around 3, 00,000 pounds (INR 3.04 crore). This would might be the Competitor of the Rolls-Royce Phantom as it is the most expensive Bentley.

At the Geneva Motor Show, Bentley Sales and Marketing boss Mr. Kevin Rose said that the car was planned for 2019 at the earliest, after the launch of the Bentley SUV and next-generation Continental GT and Flying Spur. “It’s hard to be certain what the market will demand that far into the future,” Rose said. “At the moment, our line of thinking is for a smaller car. But smaller doesn’t necessarily mean cheaper.”

Rose added “The twin pillars of the Bentley brand are performance and luxuriousness, Any car that offers something unique, with both of those bases well covered, is on the table. But we would never try to copy a Ferrari or a Porsche.”

He added,“The most important thing for us is to do something genuinely new within our market niche,” The Entry level Bentley might bring tough competition for its rivals like Mercedes S-Class, the Jaguar XJ and BMW 7 Series. The market dynamics will change in 2019, but, a Bentley in regards to price will be too tempting to miss for luxury car buyers.
