This indeed would be a big step for the brand to be taken. There has been a report floating on their blog that is operated by a German newspaper Wirtschaftswoche, around bringing out a BMW  SUV that would be functional being electronic. While this is just a sketch right now, that may or may not find it path to production. While if in case the model gets finalized, it would be a good enough competitor against the Telsa Model X, along with Audi Q6 e-tron SUV, as reported.

The Audi Q6 e-tron crossover conception, during this while, would mark its official at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 in the month of September. The Q6 would stand on the MLB platform and would acquire its power from a fully-electric unit that may be rented from the Audi R8 e-tron. Audi has assured a 500 km range in just one charge. If the BMW SUV gets things materialized, it could be manufactured at the company’s plant based Spartanburg in South Carolina, USA.
