2014 Hyundai i10 heads to the ARAI
The forthcoming 2014 i10 has been spotted driving around the Automatic Research Association of India (ARAI), according to a report. It seems now that it is at the final stage of testing before the expected global debut at Frankfurt Motor Show coming September. The new i10 will be equipped with all new 1.1 CRDi turbo diesel engine besides some stylish changes at the exteriors and interiors front.
The upcoming refreshed version of Hyundai i10 has been spotted several times and now it seems that it is running into its final testing phase. The new version could be a little pricey than the current one but its design has been altered seriously to make it more fluidic. According to reports, the car was seen driving around the ARAI headquarters. In some auto markets the name i10 is christened as ‘Brilliant’. The latest spyshots revealed confirms about the mandatory placement of ‘On Test, ARAI’ banner on the windshield and was spotted running temporary registration number plates. Like other test mules spotted earlier in Chennai, this was also completely disguised. The new i10 spotted has altered alloy wheels which were not there in previous i10 scoops.
The amount of i10 spy shots posted on the internet has confirmed the coming of new Hyundai i10. The revamped i10 is expected to make international debut at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show which will be held in September. It is believed that after the Frankfurt Motor Show, Indian launch is imminent. Coming to the specifications, the new Hyundai i10 will definitely have new powertrains. It is expected that it will be en suited with a new 1.1 CRDi turbo diesel engine which will churn out 76 PS and 150 NM of peak torque. But it stills remains mystery what it would get exactly along with other specifications. But is for sure that new i10 will be based on ‘fluidic’ philosophy of Hyundai Motors. Some serious cosmetic changes are expected to be a part of new Hyundai i10.
Three months back Hyundai launched i10 iTech special edition to celebrate the success of reaching 1.2 million sales milestones. The special edition is incorporated with a bunch of new features which boasts of visual changes and passenger comforts. Red and beige color scheme is applied on the cover seats besides steering mounted Bluetooth controls and rear view parking camera.
It is also expected that this time Hyundai will bring some elegant changes to various trims in terms of styling, comfort and safety because of other rivals coming with multiple options for the convenience of the consumers. The diesel version if launched is believed to get good response as Hyundai i10 has been heart throbbing since years.
