Yamaha Saluto launched at INR 52,000

Yamaha has launched their feather light motorcycle, Saluto in the capital yesterday. Along with a Price tag of INR 52,000 ex-showroom price in New Delhi. The Saluto would venture in the commuter segment, 100-125cc bikes that account to be around 9 million units per annum as per Yamaha.

To power the bike, it would be developed with the 125cc newly developed air-cooled, single cylinder engine, that has been developed under Yamaha’s Blue Core ideal. It would sport a better compact combustion cluster than the Yamaha’s initial product. And courtesy this, the bike has been termed as the most light weight bike in this particular segment, weighing just 112 kg.
 
The engine of the bike manages to produce 8.3 PS at 7000 rpm and 10.1 Nm of Force at 4500 rpm paired to a 4-speed transmission. The Saluto manages 78km/L. The Saluto is armed with drum brakes at both ends (130 mm). Also standing on a diamond frame, the motorcycle measures 2,035 mm lengthwise, 700 mm wide, 1,080 mm tall and 1,265 mm at the wheelbase with a ground clearance of 180 mm. It comprises with a 7.6-liter fuel tank. A telescopic fork up front and a swingarm for the rear provide suspension duties.
