Post to the successful launch of the various scooters and motorcycles in bulk at the domestic market, the folks at brand Yamaha are keen to enter in the superior displacement motorbikes. The motorcycle manufacturer from Japan is interested in making of a motorcycle that would compete against and give a tiff to the CBR650F from the house of Honda in the domestic market in the country. These details have been unveiled by the president of Yamaha Motor Research & Development India, Yasuo Ishihara, during an interview with Media. While the team Honda has just rolled out there power machine, the CBR 650F in the domestic market in the country, and this could just be the sole reason, the folks at Yamaha want to catch up in the particular segment. Well if everything goes well at the brand’s end they could come up with a similar model quite soon, as they already offer such machines globally. To start with they could bring in the superbikes through the CKD route.Although there weren’t any more discussion on the details of the bike done, we assume that the much acclaimed Yamaha FZ6R could fit in. Similar to the Honda CBR650F, the Yamaha FZ6R is a competent sports tourer too.

Honda CBR650F

Highlights of the Yamaha FZ6R:  The motorbike acquires its power from a 600cc liquid-cooled inline-four cylinder unit that carries a capacity to churn out a 77bhp @ 10,0ke 00rpm along with the maximum torque of 60Nm @8,5000rpm. This motor is teamed up with a six-speed transmission that carries an ability to transfer power to the rear wheel over a chain drive. Similar to the YZF-R3, we are supposing Yamaha would assemble the FZ6R in the country, just in case the plan gets implemented. Talking of the pricing, Yamaha may position it a little lower than the CBR650F in order to play in quantity, attracting more buyers
