Suzuki Gixxer teased ahead of its official launch today

Suzuki Motorcycle India has uploaded a teaser video of the Gixxer SF (faired version of the Gixxer). The bike would be out for sales in India today. The Gixxer SF gets its power by the same carburetor-fed 154.9cc single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine as the regular Gixxer. This engine pulls out 14.8PS at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of force at 6,000rpm, paired to a 5-speed transmission.
The Gixxer SF scales 2,050mm lengthwise, 785mm wide, 1,085mm tall and 1,330mm at the base wheelbase. The faired bike has a ground clearance of 160mm and a kerb weight of 139 kg (4 kg heavier than the standard Gixxer). Suspension activities are carried out by telescopic forks up front and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock suspension. The Gixxer SF is covered with a 100/80 tyre for the front and a 140/60 at the rear on 17-inch fringe. A single disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear take care of detainment.
The Gixxer SF would be pattered in three color options at the time of launch: Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White and Glass Sparkle Black. It is expected to give a tiff to the current running rivals like Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0, Honda CBR 150R.
