Hero Xtreme 200S Launch, Price & Specifications

Hero MotoCorp has announced, the new segment with three all-new quarter-liter motorcycles (HX250, Xtreme 200S, and XF3R) in last year Auto Expo. All three bike will witness in the upcoming 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, after long-awaited Hero Xtreme 200S streetfighter coming soon. Hero MotoCorp has shelved the new HX250 for the Indian market. 2018 Hero Xtreme 200S will re-entry in the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer in the 200-250cc bike segment. New Hero Xtreme 200S will take competition head-to-head against the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 and Yamaha FZ25. 

 

 

2018 Hero, Xtreme 200S is expected to be retailed through the company’s upcoming premium outlets with the new features such as Air vents in the front cowl, Tank-shroud, LED Tail Lamp, Belly-Pan, Dual tone seat, Multispoke 17 inch wheels, Analog-digital instrument console, colored inner mudguard with the contrast-colored front mudguard.

2018 Hero’s all-new 200cc segment motorcycle – Xtreme 200S will be rolled out around the 2018 Auto Expo and will begin from February 9, 2018, in Greater Noida.

Speaking to TOI, Dr. Markus Braunsperger, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Hero MotoCorp and Head of Hero MotoSports, said: “If you might remember, I said that we will make the Xtreme 200S happen before the next Auto Expo. So you can expect the Xtreme around the Auto Expo. We are at the finish line. Even with the pulse, we have received big, positive feedback which will further enhance our efforts to make it happen.” 

 

The new bike launched with sporting an aggressive styling and a powerful engine, the Hero Xtreme 200S price in India is expected to fall between Rs 90,000 and Rs 1.10 lakh. After launch, it will become the most affordable segment of the 200cc bike in the country. 

 

 

Hero Xtreme 200S Specifications

 

2018 Hero Xtreme will be launched with sporting feature and the heart of the Xtreme 200 S with all-new 200cc with 4-stroke engine power, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The new bike motor is fitted with diamond frame chassis, modified to accommodate a mono-shock suspension setup for shock absorption at the rear. New bike engine offers a maximum power output of 18.5bhp at 8,500rpm while pushing out a peak torque of 17.2Nm at 6,000rpm. With 5-speed gearbox will deliver maximum power to the rear wheel.

The bike is more specific and power figures are 3bhp and 5Nm higher than the former one. New Hero bike is estimated to return fuel economy around 45kmpl on city and 50kmpl on highways.

2018 Hero has estimated with top speed likely to have an electronic speed up to 130kmph. The Xtreme 200 S will be the second Hero bike to get mono-shock suspension unit, first is Hero Impulse. New Xtreme 200S could be Hero Motocorp’s first motorcycle to feature an optional ABS (anti-lock braking system).
