Now Harley-Davidson wants to come to India, and make it big out here. With more than a billion people, the country offers a giant space for the brand. In the last few years, it has done big on international markets.

Biking in India is seen everywhere, not just as a part of adventure and fun, biking also meets a lot of necessities on roads in India. Considering the facts like they are indeed cheaper swifter than cars. Scooters and mid-weight bikes are the most opted travel mode for the majority of Indians. In India, the sound of bikes is more surrounding than any other bird’s chirps as well.

But when talking about a Harley-Davidson, the concept is different; its deep grunt clears through that background noise smoothly and claims for your attention. You can feel a Harley coming. Now Harley-Davidson wants to come to India, and make it big out here. With more than a billion people, the country offers a giant space for the brand. In the last few years, it has done big on international markets, with some success: In 2014, international retail sales went up more than 5 percent and accounted for more than a third of total retail sales, as quoted by the company. Harley-Davidson has even started manufacturing entire bikes in India.

Reports suggest, at the tourist redoubt of Goa, India, Harley-Davidson at the annual India Bike Week. The Harleys were unmistakable, 1,200 of them moving slowly amidst the humid heat, the group was led by the town’s female police chief; Harley-Davidson’s managing director and the lead bike designer, who’d flown in from Milwaukee.

Glaring at the first bike crew from Rajasthan roar into frame some rocking grandiose mustaches, some covering their mouths with skull-faced bandannas  and were hooked. Such is the craze already in India, the love for the machine, Harley-Davidson.
