All the calculation, data analysis and deployment of the airbag are done by the Multistrada D-Air system which is inside the both rider and passenger’s jack in just 45 milliseconds. The airbags helps in cushioning the impact during accident thereby increasing the probability of the rider or the passenger surviving the crash. This is not the first time a concept of a wireless airbag has been showcased, Earlier BMW a two-wheeler manufacturer exhibited the same at the EICMA motor show last year. But Ducati becomes the first one to bring out this technology to the masses.  Ducati will start selling  Multistrada D-Air motorcycle  in European market by May 2014.
