Mercedes-Benz introduced the all-new V-Class

V-Class we are expanding the Mercedes-Benz premium passenger car range with a saloon for up to eight people. Functionality is a must for an MPV. Comfort and style are the icing on the cake. The new V-Class combines both in a way no other vehicle in this segment can offer.

Mercedes Benz has unveiled its all new V-class with the seating capacity of 8 people, it was last seen in 1988 this time moniker has been re-introduced to replace the German car maker’s existing MPV, the Viano.

The Chairman of the Board of Management Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Division, Dr Dieter Zetsche said,” With the new V-Class we are expanding the Mercedes-Benz premium passenger car range with a saloon for up to eight people. Functionality is a must for an MPV. Comfort and style are the icing on the cake. The new V-Class combines both in a way no other vehicle in this segment can offer."

It is available with two wheelbases and three lengths ranging from 4,895 to 5,370mm, production would be done at Mercedes’ Vitoria facility in Spain. Mercedes claims the high level of customization which facilitates ease to customers to select van according to their tastes and requirements. Customers would get the two choices is seating option either 2+2+2 or a 2+3+3. The European-spec model would also have the option of either a single kerb-side rear sliding door or two rear sliding doors.

The V-Class would be available in two engines option in the UK - a 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel which churns out the power of 161bhp and 380 nm of torque or a 2.1-litre BlueTec hybrid it produce power of 188bhp and maximum torque of 440Nm. Mercedes has claimed better performance and efficiency figures than the existing engine line-up, which was one of the main nagger for the Viano.

Mercedes-Benz has announced that we are planning to bring AMG range and will also exhibit the M-Guard at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014.German Car manufacturer now consider Indian market feasible for its performance (read AMG) and offbeat (read Guard range) cars.
