Auto Expo 2016 contestant Tata Hexa caught on a test

The Tata Hexa is a transformation given to the previous model Aria, along with fresh body fittings, and an innovative SUV look and feel. The car was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in the month of March, 2015. The car would be unveiled in India after participat9ing at the Auto Expo 2016.

The Tata Hexa showcased at the Auto Expo possessed a 2.2-L VARICOR 400 unit along with a peak output of 115 KW (154.21 hp) and an elective 4WD system. Although Tata has not yet confirmed this, a 6-speed automatic gearbox borrowed from General Motors could be used, with a 6-speed manual.
 

While as per the reports on the web, during the previous week a test mule was spotted, spied and captured while on a test, at the Mumbai-Pune expressway. This has been indeed the first time while the car has been seen on a testing spree ever since it was announced.

 

The model however was masked completely, carrying the innovative design of the Tata Hexa. While, the mule caught on test appeared to be the production ready mule bearing a flatter bonnet, grille in a honeycomb mesh along with five-spoke alloy wheels. The huge mirrors at the doors bear indicators as well.

 

The Tata Hexa would acquire its power from a 2.2L VARICOR 400 engine with a peak output of 115 KW along with an optional 4WD.

 

The producti9on model would most probably also carry the concept?s projector lamps, aluminum detailing on the fenders and body kit along with darkened pillars.

 

Coming to the inside of the cabin of the car, it could acquire six captain chairs, a steering wheels that looks borrowed from the Bolt, a fresh centre console, along with AIRCON ac vents for all the respective rows in the car.

 

The Tata Hexa that was showcased at the Geneva Motor show featuring the captain seats for the second row as well and that is most likely to be the possibility in the final version too.
