Toyota Camry 2015 India bound with an expected face make over

As per Toyota Motors Thailand, they are engaged into giving a make-over to the Camry sedan. The price of the new version starts INR 25.19 Lakhs for the basic variant and 27.29 Lakhs for G Extremo. The 2.5G would cost 29.95 Lakhs.

The machine was launched in Thailand in the beginning of March 2015. As per Toyota Motors Thailand, they are engaged into giving a make-over to the Camry sedan. The hybrid variant was out for a display at the Bangkok Motor Show 2015. The new things in the model are notably its new engine, a changed gear box, a better layout and numerous safety changes.

The all new look the model has been gifted, gives a sporty kind of a look to the beauty sedan, a sporty fore, designed fenders along with a larger air take at the center. The superficial changes also include, a thinner grille that houses a new head lights, home for day time running LEDs. There are new turn indicators on the same. The back sports a chrome dash along the back lights. The upscale variants would come up with LED back lights.

There would be six versions in the product. They would be available in two variants, petrol and hybrid models. The basic petrol version includes machines with a 2.0G Extremo and  2.5G, on the other hand hybrid versions coming up would be 2.5HV CD, 2.5HV Navigator and 2.5 HV Premium.

Inshore, the make-over beauty has changes like technical improvements like:

  • Three zone climate control Air conditioning
  • Power adjust back seats
  • JBL audio control with a 10 speaker system
  • Qi wire free charger
  • Radar cruise control
  • Blind spot monitor
  • Rear cross Traffic alert
  • Lane departure warning
  • Pre-crash alert
  • Seven air bags

Most of the features are basic in the 2.5HV Premium. Just below the hood, the basic model comes with a new 2.0L four cylinder, along with a D4-S direct injection and an enhanced VVTi-iw varying valve timing system. It would pull out 167hp and 199NM force. It could be paired up with a six speed automatic gear box. (Compared to the 4 speed unit earlier).

The Camry would continue offering CVT automatic. The price of the new version starts INR 25.19 Lakhs for the basic variant and 27.29 Lakhs for G Extremo. The 2.5G would cost 29.95 Lakhs. The hybrid variants would cost even more, to start with at 32.05 Lakhs up to 36.26 Lakhs, as per the variant.
