Engineers have designed the R3 with racing-derived specs such as forged pistons and low friction pistons, a direct drive camshaft and carburized conrods. Yamaha has enriched the R3 with a 298 mm disc up front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. Our take on the machine as per the looks and specifications is quite Racer like.

While the bike has been imported for tests, India Yamaha Motor has not confirmed a launch as of now. The machine is expected to give a tiff to KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The machine is estimated for INR 3lakhs, ex showroom.Indian roads will have to wait for a ride on this machine although!
